Hi! I’m so glad you stopped by! I’m Kimberly, the founder of Mercy On Main. I hope you will find something here that you connect with, and that you will feel welcome to come and be a part of this story with us. This company could not exist without people like you who share love and support for what we do
Mercy Candle Company was founded in 2016 as a small step of faith toward a big dream that God placed in my heart years ago. It grew so quickly that I found myself scrambling to keep up with demand almost from day one. It didn’t take long to realize that God had something more powerful in mind for this company than I could have imagined. After the insanity of my first Christmas season as a small business owner, I took the first several weeks of 2017 to recover and seek The Lord for His direction. It was clear that He had given me this project, so I wanted to hold it open handed before Him and find out exactly what His vision was going forward.
God soon began to impress upon my heart that He wanted to take this message of Mercy beyond candles and out into the streets. He wanted us to not just light a candle, but to BE the light —All of us. One big community of people who decide to put their faith in action and be the hands of feet of Jesus in our own communities and spheres of influence.
Nearly every town has a Main Street, so Mercy On Main exists as a reminder to share the love of Christ out in the real world, on the streets of our own towns, but with an awareness that we’re all in this together --working the same mission field. Whenever you find yourself out on “Main Street” loving on a broken soul, you can know that you’re a part of something so much bigger, and that someone else is out on their local “Main Street” doing this Holy work right along with you.
Using the hashtag #mercystories we can all stay connected by offering words of encouragement, inspiration and ideas for how we can be the light in simple ways right where we are.
So would you do me a favor? Would you get in on this? Would you share your stories on the hashtag and reach out to others who post too? This is the best way for us to build a community and cheer each other on as we become more intentional about this work we’ve been called to do.
Let's be the change we wish to see in the world. Let's be the light.
